Thank you so much for your interest in our study group! Before we agree to anything, here is some information regarding the introductory ritual and then the study group. Please read it fully. Further instructions are provided at the end.
Information about the Tradition/Study Group:
At this time, the RTA Study Group is by invitation only. There will be no more general calls for admission at this time.
Information about the Tradition/Study Group:
- This is a SELF STUDY program that you will work through in your own time. There is no set time frame for your study. You may choose one assignment per month or 4 assignments per month. The pacing is completely up to you, we only ask that you are progressing.
- You will need to purchase a study guide in PDF or Book form. (Includes study guide, lecture notes & comprehensive BoS pages.) This is purchased from Laurelei Black of Blade & Broom. Click here for Etsy listing. Please Note: This is NOT Teia’s course. All proceeds from the sale of books go directly to Laurelei Black. Neither Teia Kennedy nor the Edmonton Traditional Witchcrafters’ Guild profit from the sale of these materials.
- This is not a “teaching” group. This is a support study group. Teia has completed Year 1 of the program and is able to provide some discussion & exercise exemplars, but the course is itself taught through self-study of the materials.
- In addition to this in-person study group there is also a Discord group for Laurelei’s students and a downloadable app.
- Is this a coven? No, not at this time. As we continue to work together and celebrate the Sabbats, we may choose to form a coven structure. But for now, let’s stick to a “study group”.
- There is a time commitment to this study group! Once a month we will meet IN PERSON. We meet the morning of the first Sunday of each month on the North side of the city. PLUS we perform a group ritual at each Sabbat (on the closest Sunday.) While we know things may come up, it is expected everyone will make a best effort to participate every month.
- Here is a link to the program of study which includes syllabi and sample course work: https://spiralcastletrad.wordpress.com/red-thread-academy/
- 18+ participants only
- There is no fee for the Study Group, but we do all take turns contributing to ritual consumables at each Sabbat.
- Each Study Group member will need to be an active Member of the Edmonton Traditional Witchcrafters' Guild ($24/yr) as we use their website to house this information page and our document repository.
